Resilience Project’s Story

Project Summary

(Project ongoing)

Bachmeyer Press was hired by The Resilience Project organized Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health from 2018-present. Our company directed several films and podcasts showcasing the project’s impact. We also developed an e-book “Growing Resilience,” in collaboration with content from Resilience Project partners. This e-book is a multi-media toolkit for parents, teachers, therapists, and any support staff interested in new and different ways to support people with trauma histories. Governor DeWine highlighted the E-Book as a resource to help communities cope with the recent tragedies surrounding gun violence.

Desire

To share the story and resources with parents, teachers, therapists, and any staff interested in new and different ways to support people with trauma histories, through a variety of means including video, podcast, articles, and interactive website.

Motivation

Mental health issues and addictions affect all ages and walks of life. They overwhelm families, dampen hope, and present a variety of challenges. As the region’s most comprehensive behavioral healthcare organization, Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS), in partnership with the Resilience Project, seeks to make life better and brighter for anyone dealing with mental health or addiction issues.

Roadblock

Many resources are out there, but there is not one place for youth and families to access easy to use, digital resources on trauma responsive care.

Explainer Videos

“Working with Katie is a pleasure. She developed e-books, videos and other products that helped us reach a wider audience. The feedback from users has been off-the-charts. Katie brings her own passion for inclusion and storytelling to the work - and pulls people together in a way that has everyone feeling heard and valued. She brings a unique set of gifts to her work.”
